Yes – The Coronation Street Experience is fully accessible, including the Visitor Centre and Exhibition area, located on the first floor, with access to a lift if required. The external street tour takes place on a working set, which includes cobbles, kerbs and uneven surfaces. Wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and walking aids are welcome, but due to safety regulations, we are limited to 1 wheelchair or mobility scooter user per tour.

If you have already booked and require wheelchair access, please ensure you have booked the appropriate ticket. If capacity has been exceeded, it may be necessary to adjust your tour time or reschedule your visit to another date or time. Please get in touch with us for assistance.

Guests who require assistance are entitled to one Free Carer Ticket per full-priced ticket.

  • This must be selected at the time of booking.
  • If a carer ticket needs to be added later, please contact us directly so we can add this on to your booking – no refunds will be issued retrospectively.
  • Acceptable proof of eligibility includes: PIP, DLA, Access Card, Attendance Allowance, or a Blue Badge.
  • The guest receiving support must attend for the carer to be admitted free of charge. The guest receiving support can choose whoever they would like to attend along with them; they do not have to be a registered carer.

Contact us

We welcome all guide dogs, hearing dogs and medical alert dogs. Guests wishing to attend the Tour with their assistance dog should contact us in advance so we can add this to your booking.

If your dog requires a water bowl, please ask a member of staff who will be happy to provide one at the beginning and end of the Tour.

We do not allow any other dogs or pets to enter the Tour and we are unable to look after any dogs or pets.

Contact us

Accessible toilets are available in the Visitor Centre before and after your tour. As the tour takes place on a live working set, there are no toilet facilities available while on the tour route. If a guest requires the facilities during the tour, they will need to be escorted off the set by a member of staff and may miss part of the experience.
