When is The Coronation Street Experience open?
Tours operate on weekends and some bank holidays from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm.
The Visitors Centre and Exhibition are open weekdays 10:00 – 3:00 pm
How long is the tour?
Guided Walking Tour – please allow up to 2.5 hours for the entire experience
Star Tour – Please allow up to 3 hours for the entire experience
What time should I arrive?
Arrive no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your booking time. Your booking time is your arrival time. Guests will not be allowed in any sooner than 15 minutes prior.
How many people will be in my tour group?
Tour sizes can vary; however, our tour groups are limited to a maximum of 50 people. This ensures a comfortable and enjoyable experience for our guests.
What should I wear for the tour?
The tour runs in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately with suitable footwear. Shelter on the tour route is limited. Bring raincoats, umbrellas, warm clothes or sun protection as needed.
Will my tour still go ahead in bad weather?
The tour runs in most weather conditions. Please dress appropriately with suitable footwear. In cases of severe weather (e.g. snow or ice), tours may be cancelled or rescheduled. You will be contacted with options such as a full refund or rebooking without additional charge. No other compensation will be given.
Can I go inside the Rovers Return or see any of the interior studio sets?
While the Coronation Street Experience is focused on the iconic external sets, you can still enjoy a close-up look at some of the show’s most beloved interiors. Our Exhibition includes detailed replica sets of the Rovers Return, Roy’s Rolls and the Dobbs’ home (formerly the Duckworths’), offering a great opportunity to step inside these familiar spaces. Please note that the actual internal studio sets used for filming are closed to the public and not part of the tour.
Can I take photos or videos during my visit?
Guests are welcome to take as many photos as they like throughout their visit, unless otherwise stated. As this is a working set, your tour guide will advise if any areas are not suitable for photography. Filming or audio recording is not permitted at any time.
Is there anywhere to eat or drink on site?
Yes! Our on-site café, located in the Visitor Centre, serves a selection of snacks, sandwiches, sweet treats, and hot and cold drinks. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a bite before or after your visit. Please note that only bottled water or water in a sealable container is permitted during the tour itself. Are toilets available during the tour?
Toilets are available in the Visitor Centre before and after your tour. As the tour takes place on a live working set, there are no toilet facilities available while on the tour route. If a guest requires the facilities during the tour, they will need to be escorted off the set by a member of staff and may miss part of the experience.
Is the site suitable for children/families?
Yes! The Experience is family-friendly, with plenty of fun moments for fans of all ages. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
How much are tickets?

Can I make a booking for children?
Yes! Children are very welcome. All guests aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. Children under 4 can attend free of charge, but still require a Free Child Ticket, which can be selected during booking. Please note: to purchase a Child Ticket (ages 4-16), the system requires at least one Adult Ticket be included in the same transaction.
Where can I park?
There is no public on-site parking at The Coronation Street Experience. However, various nearby car parks are available, with the closest being next door at the Imperial War Museum (NCP charges apply). Please allow enough time to park and walk to the site – we recommend arriving 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Can I add extra tickets to my existing booking?
If there is availability for your chosen time slot, you can book additional tickets through our website as a separate transaction. Simply be sure to select the same date and timeslot as the original booking. If the timeslot is greyed out or not showing, it is fully booked and no longer available. If you require a child ticket to be added on, or are unsure and need assistance, please feel free to contact us. Whilst we can’t guarantee availability, we will do our best to assist.
Can I reschedule my booking?
Yes, you can reschedule your visit up to 48 hours before your scheduled tour via your online account. Please note that a £5 administration fee applies: Manage My Booking | Coronation Street Experience.
If you need to reschedule within 48 hours of your visit, you cannot do this via your online account. Instead, please contact us directly, and we will assist you during our email operation hours – Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Rescheduling is at the discretion of management. Please note that a £10 rescheduling fee will apply.
Can my booking be cancelled or refunded?
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. We recommend reviewing the full T&Cs before purchase. Exceptions may only be made at our discretion in very exceptional circumstances.
I haven’t received my booking confirmation – what should I do?
Please check your spam or junk email folder as the confirmation email may have been filtered there. If you still cannot find it, please reach out to us with your booking details so that we may assist you. Please note, for safety and security reasons, we do not share booking information without the direct written permission of the lead booking holder.
I purchased extras when making my booking – will you send these to me in the post?
Extras purchased during booking, such as Guidebooks, souvenirs or photo bundles, must be collected/redeemed at the Attraction on the day of your visit. We do not send out physical extras by post.
Do you accept walk-ins?
We strongly recommend booking in advance as availability is limited and we often sell out prior to the day. Walk-ins are welcome, but not guaranteed entry.
What is the difference between the tour and experience types offered?
1. Exhibition: Includes access to the Exhibition, cinema and gift shop – weekdays only
2. Guided Tour: Includes access to the Exhibition, cinema and gift shop with a 90-minute tour of the outdoor set – weekends only
3. Star Tour: Includes access to the Exhibition, cinema and gift shop with a 90-minute tour of the outdoor set and a meet and greet with a mystery cast member – weekends only

How long are vouchers valid for?
Gift vouchers purchased directly through us are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. This means your visit must be booked and take place before the expiry date. Once a voucher expires, it cannot be reinstated.
Can I extend my voucher?
Voucher extensions are not guaranteed and granted only in exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of our team. If you believe you have a valid reason, please contact us directly with your voucher details and reason for the extension request.
Please note: extensions can only be considered for vouchers purchased directly through us. While we are unable to extend third-party vouchers, we’re happy to assist where possible.
WHY HAVEN'T I RECEIVED MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION?
Please email us info@coronationstreetexperience.co.uk with as many booking details as possible (name on booking, booking reference number and the date/time) for us to look into this for you. Please allow 72 hours for our team to respond. We always recommend creating an account with us so you can obtain your confirmation at your convenience. You will also be able to reschedule your tickets if required.
Can you send my voucher in the post?
As part of our effort to remain environmentally conscious, all vouchers are delivered electronically via email. We do not send physical vouchers in the post.
My voucher won’t work or won’t let me book – what can I do?
If you are experiencing issues with your voucher, please ensure you are doing the following:

Do you offer an NHS or Blue Light discount?
Yes, we offer a 15% discount on Guided Tours for Blue Light cardholders and NHS workers. To qualify:
The eligible individual must be present on the day of their visit with a valid ticket for themselves.
Valid NHS or Blue Light ID (or current proof of employment documentation) must be shown at admissions upon check-in.
The discount does not apply to Star Tours or gift vouchers.
If you upgrade to a Star Tour later, the full Star Tour price will apply.

How does the Coronation Street and Emmerdale Village bundle ticket work?
Our bundle ticket gives you access to both the Coronation Street Experience in Manchester and the Emmerdale Village Tour in Leeds at a discounted rate.
How it works:
At checkout, you’ll select a date for your Coronation Street tour.
After checkout, you’ll receive a confirmation email along with a voucher for the Emmerdale Village Tour.

Important to know:
Tours take place in two different locations. The Coronation Street Experience is located in Manchester, while the Emmerdale Village Tour is located in Leeds. No transport is provided between each location. Guests are required to arrange their own travel.
Many guests choose to visit on tour on a Saturday and the other on Sunday due to the distance between them.
Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and must be redeemed for a date that occurs before the expiry date.
Please note: bundle tickets apply to Guided Tours only. Star Tours are not included and cannot be upgraded from a bundle ticket. Star Tour tickets must be purchased separately.
Will I be able to meet the cast?
A cast meet-and-greet is included only with Star Tour tickets, where a mystery cast member will join the group for part of the visit.
Why do you keep the Star Tour cast member’s identity a secret?
For safety and security reasons, we’re unable to reveal who the featured cast member will be in advance. Their identity is kept a mystery until the moment you meet them on the day, adding to the excitement and surprise of your Star Tour experience!
When will more tour dates become available to book?
You can see all current availability via the booking calendar. We release new tour dates regularly. As the site is a live working television set, the release of dates and their availability are dependent on ITV’s production schedule. Is the Experience accessible to wheelchair users or guests with mobility needs?
Yes – The Coronation Street Experience is fully accessible, including the Visitor Centre and Exhibition area, located on the first floor, with access to a lift if required. The external street tour takes place on a working set, which includes cobbles, kerbs and uneven surfaces. Wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and walking aids are welcome, but due to safety regulations, we are limited to 2 wheelchair or mobility scooter users per tour.
How can I book a Free Carer Ticket?
Guests who require assistance are entitled to one Free Carer Ticket per full-priced ticket.
- This must be selected at the time of booking.
- If a carer ticket needs to be added later, please contact us directly so we can add this on to your booking – no refunds will be issued retrospectively.
- Acceptable proof of eligibility includes: PIP, DLA, Access Card, Attendance Allowance, or a Blue Badge.
- The guest receiving support must attend for the carer to be admitted free of charge. The guest receiving support can choose whoever they would like to attend along with them; they do not have to be a registered carer.
Do you allow assistance dogs on-site?
Yes, we allow the following:
- Registered guide dogs
- Hearing dogs
- Medical alert dogs
- Support dogs
Please contact us in advance after booking your visit and provide your booking confirmation number so we can make a note on your record that you will be bringing an assistance dog. If available, please bring formal ID for your assistance dog on the day.

Are printed scripts available for hearing-impaired guests?
Yes, a printed script of the tour is available upon request. Please ask Admissions when you arrive.
DO YOU SELL ANY CORONATION STREET OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE?
Yes, you’ll have the opportunity to visit our gift shop during your experience, filled with mementos from your visit to the cobbles. Alternatively, a selection of fan favourites are available to purchase here, via the ITV Shop.
Are there accessible toilets during the tour?
Accessible toilets are available in the Visitor Centre before and after your tour. As the tour takes place on a live working set, there are no toilet facilities available while on the tour route. If a guest requires the facilities during the tour, they will need to be escorted off the set by a member of staff and may miss part of the experience.
Can I bring my dog?
Only registered assistance dogs are permitted on-site, including guide dogs, hearing dogs, and medical or support dogs. Unfortunately, no other pets or dogs are allowed due to the working nature of the television set.
Can you store luggage or my coat?
We do not offer luggage storage or cloakroom facilities. As this is a live working television set, we’re unable to hold or supervise personal belongings during your visit. Please make alternative arrangements in advance, as we cannot accept responsibility for any unattended items.
Only small bags (under 40 cm x 35 cm x 19 cm) are permitted on-site. Please note that security reserves the right to search any bags brought onto the premises.
How do I use my Visit Manchester pass?
If your Visit Manchester Pass includes The Coronation Street Experience, please redeem your voucher through our website to select a date and time for your visit. Follow the instructions provided with your pass.
Do ITV offer any other tours or attractions?
Yes, ITV also operates the Emmerdale Village Tour in Leeds. Like Coronation Street, this is a unique opportunity to explore a real working television set. You can even purchase a bundle ticket to enjoy both tours a discounted rate.

Only registered assistance dogs are permitted on-site, including guide dogs, hearing dogs, and medical or support dogs. Unfortunately, no other pets or dogs are allowed due to the working nature of the television set.
Can you store luggage or my coat?
We do not offer luggage storage or cloakroom facilities. As this is a live working television set, we’re unable to hold or supervise personal belongings during your visit. Please make alternative arrangements in advance, as we cannot accept responsibility for any unattended items.
Only small bags (under 40 cm x 35 cm x 19 cm) are permitted on-site. Please note that security reserves the right to search any bags brought onto the premises.
