1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions apply to all attendees bringing dogs to the Coronation Street: Experience attending Dog Day you agree to comply with the following requirements designed to ensure the safety, welfare, and enjoyment of all guests, dogs, staff, and performers.
2. Eligibility of Dogs
2.1. Only friendly, well-socialised dogs that are comfortable in busy public environments may attend.
2.2. Dogs must be at least 12 weeks old.
2.3. Puppies younger than 16 weeks must have completed their primary vaccinations before attending.
2.4. Dogs in season must not attend
2.5. Dogs showing signs of illness, injury, or contagious conditions must not be brought along
2.6. Dogs listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act (including Pit Bull Terrier, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, Japanese Tosa and XL Bullies, including crossbreeds or mixed breeds) are not permitted, and any other dog displaying aggressive behaviour towards people or other dogs must not be brought to the event.
3. Vaccinations & Health
3.1. All dogs must be fully vaccinated in accordance with UK veterinary guidelines.
3.2. Dogs must be up to date with flea, tick, and worm treatments.
3.3. Continuum Attractions the organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to any dog where health status is in doubt.
4. Supervision & Responsibility
4.1. Each dog must be accompanied by a responsible adult (18+) at all times.
4.2. Owners/handlers remain fully responsible for their dog’s behaviour and welfare throughout the Event.
4.3. Dogs must never be left unattended inside or outside the venue.
4.4 Dogs are permitted on the premises only if they are kept under control at all times, exercised off the field, and any fouling is cleaned up immediately and disposed of in the designated dog waste bins; failure to comply may result in permission for dogs being withdrawn.
5. Lead & Control Requirements
5.1. It is a legal requirement for all dogs to have a valid ID tag on their collar or harness in public.
5.2. All dogs must remain on a secure short lead at all times 5.2. Retractable leads must be locked to a short length in busy areas and during the experience.
5.3. Harnesses are strongly recommended for safety and control.
5.4. Any dog displaying aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour will be removed immediately when requested by staff.
6. Welfare & Comfort of Dogs
6.1. Owners must ensure their dog has access to water and rest breaks
6.2. Dogs must not be forced into interactions with people or other dogs.
6.3. If a dog becomes distressed, overwhelmed, or reactive, the owner must remove the dog to a quiet area or leave 6.4 Please note that the nearest Veterinary centre is located below: Ashleigh Veterinary Centre, 221 Upper Charlton Road, Whalley Range, Manchester, M16 0DE – Tel: 0161 881 6868
6.4. If the temperature exceeds 20C we will modify activity and ensure there are sufficient shades areas and water stations. If temperatures on the day are too high, there is a chance the event could be cancelled.
7. Cleanliness & Hygiene
7.1. Owners must immediately clean up after their dogs.
7.2. Waste must be disposed of in designated bins.
7.3. Cleaning charges may apply if an accident is not appropriately managed.
8. Restricted Areas
8.1. Certain areas of the venue may be designated dog-free for health, safety, or operational reasons.
8.2. Signage and staff instructions must be followed at all times.
8.3. Dogs are not permitted on seating, props, or performance areas unless explicitly invited by staff.
9. Interaction with Cast, Props & Public Areas
9.1. Dogs must not interfere with performers, props, filming areas, or equipment.
9.2. Photography is permitted unless signage states otherwise; however, flash photography around dogs should be avoided.
9.3. Guests must respect other attendees who may not wish to interact with dogs.
10. Liability
10.1. Owners accept full responsibility for any injury, damage, or loss caused by their dog.
10.2. Continuum Attractions on behalf of The Coronation Street Experience: accept no liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage involving dogs or personal property.
10.3. Owners may be asked to leave without refund if their dog poses a risk or breaches these Terms.
11. Insurance
11.1. Owners must have valid dog insurance including public liability.
11.2. Professional dog handlers, walkers, or businesses must hold appropriate liability insurance.
12. Emergency & Safety
12.1. Owners must follow all safety instructions issued by staff.
12.2. In case of emergency evacuation, dogs must remain on leads and follow staff guidance.
13. Photography & Media Consent
13.1. Photography and filming will take place during the day.
13.2. By attending, you consent to the use of images of you and your dog for promotional purposes unless you notify organisers in advance.
14. Right to Refuse Entry or Remove Attendees
14.1. Continuum Attractions reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any person or dog that fails to comply with these Terms.
14.2. No refunds will be issued in cases of removal due to breaches of the Terms.
15. Changes to Terms
15.1. The organisers reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time to ensure safety and compliance.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By attending the Event with a dog, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
